The Acrylic Bread Slicer makes it easy to cut your homemade breads into nice, even slices without getting crumbs all over the kitchen!
Customer Rating: Summary: Simple and convenient Comment: Such a simple gadget that works great to get nice even slices of any bread. Very satisfied. Customer Rating: Summary: Bread Slicer Comment: I started to make bread again in my bread maker. However it seems like I was not able to get an even slice for toasting. This slicer helps keep the knife evenly spaced for each slice. I had a little trouble keeping the sides together so the end plate would not fall out, but finally got the system going. Now I need to purchase a good sharp bread slicing knife to make my life perfect. Customer Rating: Summary: Low Grade Comment: I would like to see it made from a better quality of wood.
It *is* too wide for the bread knives included in most cutting blocks. It is also wider than necessary for most bread machine loaves.
Overall more annoying than satisfying Customer Rating: Summary: Bread slicer Comment: This is a great product. It is well made and a good value for the money. Just make sure that you have a good bread knife. I tried an existing knife I had on hand which didn't work well. I ended up purchasing a good quality knife to use with this slicer. The only thing I would change is the ability to slice larger slices but you can position the bread to do this. I think it is an awesome product compared to what I have purchased in the past. Customer Rating: Summary: back falls off Comment: This product is a good idea but when i went to cut bread the back would fall out of the groves. maybe i will have to glue it.
Useful: Water Filters
Very few people buying a new kitchen do so today without the offer of a water filter system as part of the deal. Water filters are taking by storm as the man and woman in the street discover that they can have the luxury of pure, clean tasting water in their kitchens for far less than the cost of a pint of milk a day! The water filter systems knock the costs associated with bottled water for six. Especially when you have virtually unlimited quantities of the stuff, pouring from a tap in your kitchen!
