However, I ordered this set from Amazon and received a box that I knew was in bad shape before I opened it-you could just hear the broken glass. I was upset at the lack of packaging but Amazon quickly sent a replacement set which is where my real complaint starts. 2nd set also made that familiar broken glass sound. No real protective packaging. A strip of like 4 (deflated upon arrival) air pouches hardly is enough to protect all sides of a box containing glass. Amazon refunded my money but all I really wanted was the Pyrex I had originally ordered in the first place. Time wasted. Now the price has gone up over $12 within a week and I'm still without what I originally wanted.
Great product but until Amazon figures out how to ship glass, I'll be shopping elsewhere. Customer Rating: Summary: easy, safe solution Comment: I got these because I was becoming concerned about plastics leaching chemicals into my food. These still have plastic lids, but the portion that is in contact with the food is all glass. They're incredibly sturdy, and the seal is very tight. Customer Rating: Summary: Much better than plain ole plastic containers Comment: I would give the Pyrex 5 stars but the lids are hard to get on. Pyrex gives you so many more options than plastic and with no worries of plastic "bleeding" into your food. I plan on getting more Pyrex.
